Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana L)
Regarded as one of the most delicious fruits in the world, the mangosteen
"Queen of Fruits" is native to the Malay Archipelago and Indonesia,
but is now also grown in wet tropical regions throughout Southeast Asia.
Mangosteen fruit has a thick peel or hull containing which is inedible but
possesses abundant xanthones - highly potent antioxidants. Inside the hull is
the soft white and segmented fruit. The mangosteen fruit has a distinctive
sweet, slightly acidic strawberry flavor and contains a range of vitamins and
minerals.
Pear
Pears are not only delicious, but also one of the best sources of dietary fiber.
Pears also contribute a healthy supply of vitamin C, and some copper and
potassium as well.
Red Grape
Grapes are a quality source of vitamin C, vitamin K, manganese and provide some
fiber and potassium as well. Red grapes contain a bioflavanoid known as
quercetin which works as an antioxidant to stimulate the immune system.
Red Sour Cherry
Red sour cherries are a good source of antioxidant phenols found to help prevent
oxidative damage to cells. Sour cherries also provide high amounts of vitamin C,
vitamin A, dietary fiber, and potassium.
Blueberry
