Ear Candles for candling is a therapeutic ancient practice
that has been used for centuries in many cultures, (also called ear cones). Ear
Candling involves placing a hollow cylinder tube made with strips of cloth
coated with wax and have a tapered end, being placed at the opening of the ear
and the opposite end is lit. This produces spiraling smoke and warmth. No
claims of health benefits are implied or express with the use of the ear candles
that we sell.*
What's in the candle after an ear candling session?
The most misunderstood or unknown thing about ear candling is
what's in the candle after candling. Some believe there to be ear wax
present in the candle after burning and others believe the wax to be strictly
wax from the candle. It is possible that what you see in the candle may
reflect both the candle wax and congestion from the ear. What exactly is in
the candle after burning is not settled fact.*
Size of our Candles
The diameter of our candles are available in two sizes, regular
1/2 inch and large 5/8 inch. The length of each candle is approximately 10
inches and will vary slightly from candle to candle.

Wax Types
Our ear candles are dipped in 3 types of wax, paraffin, soy and
beeswax. The Hemp and Organic Cottons are dipped in 100% aromatic beeswax.
The beeswax candles are dipped in a blend of 85% beeswax and 15% paraffin.
The paraffin candles are dipped in a highly refined food grade paraffin wax.
The soy candles are dipped in a blend of eco soy wax and highly refined food
grade paraffin wax. You can read more about the 3 types of wax below.

Cloth Types

Hemp
Hemp
grows well without herbicides, fungicides, or pesticides and is
naturally anti-bacterial/anti-fungal. On an annual basis, 1 acre of
hemp will produce as much fiber as 2 to 3 acres of cotton. Hemp
grown for industrial use is very low in THC (the psychoactive chemical
in marijuana), thus making industrial hemp useless as a drug. There is
no chance of intoxication from the use of this cloth.

Cotton
Muslin
In
the United States, the cotton crop uses 25% of the total pesticides.
(Yes, one fourth of the pesticides used in the entire U.S. are used on
cotton.) Cotton is a soil damaging crop and needs a lot of fertilizer.

Majority of Ear Candles labeled as "beeswax" are most
likely a blend of beeswax and paraffin.
Yes we do too. Beeswax is
very thick to handle on it’s own so we blend with paraffin or soy
wax.

WAX (Ecosoya™
)
Soy
wax is a wax that is produced from the oil from the soybean. A 100%
vegetable wax made with soybeans.
Contain no pesticides or herbicides. Is non-petroleum and
biodegradable. Is made ecologically, striving to use nothing but
non-genetically modified soybeans.
Burn clean, with little to NO carbon build up.
Are environmentally friendly, promoting the growth and care of
the environment by utilizing plants. Are made primarily from domestic
grown crops supporting US farmers and economy.

Paraffin
is a commonly used wax. A Petroleum by-product. It may produce the
same release of carcinogen (when they are burned) in the atmosphere as
your car produces when gasoline is burned. It contains aromatic compounds, which are released that may
be detrimental to one's health. It could be harmful to the nervous
system, etc.
